What should I expect on during my first visit?

At your first visit, you will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns, find out if you are a good candidate for treatment, and see an example of an actual aligner. Many times, we can begin treatment by making impressions of your teeth to make a virtual model of your mouth, and getting other records that may be needed, like photographs and x-rays.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Treatment time depends on the severity of the case. Some cases are completed in a few months, while others take years. Most of my patients are surprised at how quickly their goals can be achieved.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Invisalign treatment is comparable to metal braces, so the fees are similar.

What are the health benefits of Invisalign?

Any orthodontic treatment improves the function of the teeth, eliminates uneven wear, and reduces gum inflammation. Invisalign is superior in all three of these categories, while also reducing the risk of decay. Patients have an easier time with dental hygiene when using Invisalign aligners, as opposed to cleaning around metal brackets, which can be very difficult.

How does Invisalign work?

Each set of aligners are shaped to move the teeth towards the final goal. Movement occurs during the first three days and is held in position for the remaining 11 days of the two-week cycle. Every two weeks, the aligners are changed for the next set until the teeth are aligned.

Is Invisalign painful?

Because each aligner is designed for two weeks of movement, the force on the teeth is much less than with metal bracket. During treatment with metal braces, the arch wire is activated for six weeks of movement, which generates a lot more force.

Most of my patients experience a slight tenderness for the first three days of treatment and then not much after that.

Am I a good candidate for Invisalign?

Almost everyone can benefit from Invisalign treatment!

What’s the difference between Invisalign and traditional braces?

Invisalign and traditional braces move teeth to create a nicer looking smile and better functioning mouth. Invisalign is smooth, comfortable, aesthetically-pleasing, and much more hygienic than metal braces.

Can Invisalign correct my overbite?

Overbites, overcrowded and overlapped teeth are the most common complaints that are treated by Invisalign.
